Health Sciences Center

The new Springfield College Health Sciences Center will empower transformative approaches to education, career enhancement, service, research, and leadership in healthcare. The Center will build on the success of the School of Health Sciences and ensure its standing as the leading choice for the finest students, faculty, and staff.
The new Health Sciences Center is slated to open in 2023. It will serve as a beautiful anchor to the College’s new academic green and as the welcoming western gateway to our campus. Focusing on the dynamic future of clinical services and business opportunities in healthcare, special features of the Health Sciences Center include:
- State-of-the-art, technology-rich classrooms and immersive learning laboratories
- A modern simulation suite, including facilities for high-fidelity simulation and live standardized patients, plus an operating suite and remotely observable examination and treatment rooms
- A functional living suite with kitchen, bedroom, living room, and bathroom for interdisciplinary rehabilitation practices
- Interdisciplinary telehealth resources to enable experiences with new forms of reaching the people we serve
- A maker space for designing and creating new health and wellness technologies
- A learning-centered human anatomy laboratory
- Spaces supporting our mission “for service in leadership of others,” including community-based support groups plus exercise, communication, and falls prevention programs
- Ample space for students, including, study areas, lounge areas, kitchen facilities, changing rooms, and storage for personal items

Our current excellent programs in the Health Sciences include:
- BS and MS in Physician Assistant Studies
- BS and MS in Occupational Therapy
- BS and DPT in Physical Therapy
- BS in Public Health
- BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders
- BS in Health Sciences
- EMT and Paramedic programs, which lend themselves well to early student experience and high-paying jobs for those working part-time while enrolled at the College
